As if our goofy dog wasn't goofy enough, here she is wearing a lamp shade.
And here's the ugly truth.
So... what happened? Well the best way I can describe it, is that she was walking on top of
a small embankment. The scent of another dog cause her to run, unexpectantly... which cause her
to reach the end of her leash, unexpectantly... which cause her to stumble off the embankment,
unexpectantly... which cause a large splinter (or small stake) to go through her forearm. The
"stake" didn't actually penetrate the skin on the other side, but you could feel it, and see the
ridges in the skin. Of course, when I tried to pull the "stake" out, it just broke
because the whole thing was dry-rotted, so we spent the evening in the emergency room so nothing
would get infected.
In case anyone didn't know... I also pierced my forearm (though I did it with a pitchfork). What
are the chances that my dog would do the same thing? She truly is my puppy.
